Account Supervisor

Lou Hammond Group is seeking a candidate interested in a hybrid public relations and marketing role as an Account Supervisor. This position will be full-time within our Houston office. Lou Hammond Group is a full-service agency with offices in New York, Charleston, Houston, Atlanta, Tampa and Denver.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Oversee day-to-day client communication
  • Demonstrate strong writing skills, ability to create materials and edit, deliver close to final work
  • Pitch traditional and online media, follow up editorial opportunities, research new media
  • Create thought leadership and community building opportunities for clients
  • Support press event planning, attend and participate
  • Actively participate/lead client planning efforts
  • Oversee/create monthly reports, call reports, determine client ready
  • Lead client conference calls offering project updates
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, develop strategic/creative thinking
  • Integrate with marketing colleagues on branding, strategic partnerships/promotion opportunities and creative campaigns
  • Work with junior account team members, support in mentoring
  • Develop relationships with media, all platforms

Talent/Experience:

  • BA/BS from a four-year accredited university
  • At least four years in an agency
  • Strong detail and organizational skills, sensitivity to deadlines
  • Creative, high energy, can-do attitude
  • Strong writing skills (AP style), familiar PR software and Microsoft Office programs
  • Understand and keep up to date with industry and competitive landscape knowledge
  • Seeking to “learn the world”
