Associate Manager, Social Media

Lou Hammond is seeking a motivated marketing and social media creative for an Associate Manager, Social Media position. This position will be a full-time position within our Charleston, South Carolina office. Lou Hammond Group is an integrated marketing communications company with offices in New York, Charleston, Houston, Denver, Miami and Los Angeles. LHG has been a leader in the public relations field since 1984, representing clients in the travel, lifestyle, hospitality and business sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Stay-up-to-date on social media tactics and industry trends
  • Assist Digital Content Manager to execute social media strategy, monitor and engage on agency’s social media channels
  • Assist with curating content, executing and tracking analytics for monthly blog posts
  • Assist with implementing social strategies for clients
  • Review metrics and analytics using industry-standard social media reporting tools
  • Provide strategic insight into opportunities for organic and paid growth for agency’s channels, as well as clients
  • Assist with drafting and executing a social media content calendar for all brands and platforms that supports overall marketing and PR goals
  • Creating and adopting highly sharable content as it relates to our individual target markets
  • Engaging the social media community and partaking in influencer outreach
  • Writing and editing multi-media posts and interact with consumers
  • Monitoring, listening, and responding to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales
  • Analyzing campaigns and translating anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising digital campaigns

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related fields
  • 3-4 years relevant experience
  • Ability to confidently liaise with clients and manage accounts with minimal supervision
  • Experience managing brands’ social presence across multiple platforms
  • Superb computer skills (Adobe Creative Suite not required, but a plus)
  • A passion for brand and social media marketing
  • Experience using Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Planoly and/or other related social media monitoring applications
  • Proactive approach to discovering and developing new procedures and processes
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize according to need, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes and procedures without extensive training
  • Working knowledge of Facebook Insights, Facebook Business Manager and Twitter and Instagram ad programs, Pinterest for brands and YouTube Advertising.
  • Successful candidates are able to quickly adjust and assume different writing styles and voice
