Account Coordinator

Lou Hammond Group is seeking a candidate interested in strategic public relations for an Account Coordinator position. This position will be full-time within our Charleston, South Carolina office. Lou Hammond Group is an integrated marketing communications company with offices in New York, Charleston, Houston, Denver, Miami and Los Angeles. LHG has been a leader in the public relations field since 1984, representing clients in the travel, lifestyle, hospitality and business sectors.

Day-to-Day Activities:

            • Build media lists, suggest pitch ideas, distribute press releases, track open rates
            • Maintain internal pitch tracker, research placement opportunities
            • Create monthly reports, keep current ongoing, upload dashboard
            • Attend events and support team as needed
            • Respond to media inquiries, fulfill requests
            • Proactively seek appointments with media/influencers, report findings to agency
            • Actively participate in client calls/meetings; prepare agenda and call report following
            • Prepare clips for distribution, manage client library assets
            • Draft copy for LHG social media submissions
            • Keep abreast of current PR trends and resources



            • BA/BS from a four-year accredited University, internships a plus
            • Smart, creative, innovator, risk taker, strong writing skills and excellent verbal communication
            • Strong editing and copywriting abilities (AP Style)
            • Organizational skills, meet deadlines, multi-task and work effectively in team environment
            • Understand, experience, social media tools and platforms
            • Willing attitude and enthusiasm
