Rachel McAllister, Vice President, New York

Rachel McAllister has a proven 12+-year track record of developing and implementing successful PR, marketing and influencer campaigns for lifestyle clients ranging from premium design and travel brands to consumer products and Fortune 500 retailers. She brings a multifaceted background with experience in internal, external and crisis communications, consumer & B2B marketing, as well as media and influencer relations.

Prior to returning to LHG, Rachel led the home/design practice group at a national consumer agency. She also managed media relations for food & beverage, health & wellness and other lifestyle clients and was regularly engaged with national and regional lifestyle, business and news editors, as well as renowned designers, chefs and influencers.

Rachel previously supervised communications and marketing outreach for premium travel and hospitality brands at LHG, executing special events and comprehensive public relations campaigns. Her efforts generated major national coverage for clients.

Her prior experience includes PR support for multimillion-dollar advertising campaigns at a global public relations agency in New York. She also has deep retail experience working on the communications team at Petco, where she helped develop the company’s social media strategy and managed crisis communications during the international pet food recall in 2007; the company earned national recognition for its efforts.

A native of Southern California, Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication with an emphasis in public relations from San Diego State University.
